Bas releif is a two dimensional sculpture that is built from the background up to the foreground in layers. The preceeding layer is indented or removed to make room for the next layer. The technique has infinite possibilities and will prove quite useful in giving your cakes a bit of added dimension.
We can adjust this class for almost any picture that you would like. I will need some time to work up a pattern and plan along with a cost. As much lead time as you can give me would be appreciated.
This class can be just about any length you would like. The amount of time spent in class will depend on the complexity of the picture that you choose to make. This picture is a 2 hour class. The class cost is $50.00. There will only be a materials fee if I am providing the already colored fondant.
Students will bring: 1- 8" foil or fondant covered board or cardboard, modelling tools, needle tool,X-Acto knife, pearl dust and brush to apply, waterbrush or paintbrush and cup for water, tip #7, tracing wheel, PME cutting wheel, any tiny cutters you might want for details such as hearts or dots, lustre dust and brushes if desired, fondant already colored as you choose.
